Black-Necked Crane Festival Journey
Every November, the glacial valley of Phobjikha welcomes its most celebrated winter visitors — endangered black-necked cranes — with a festival of folk dances and conservation storytelling. This six-day journey combines the celebration with the dzongs and passes along the way.

Day by Day
Airport welcome in Paro, scenic drive to Thimphu, evening orientation walk.
Overnight in Thimphu
Dochula Pass and its 108 chortens, Punakha Dzong at the river confluence, riverside lunch.
Overnight in Punakha
Drive to the glacial valley of Phobjikha, an afternoon nature walk along the valley floor.
Overnight in Gangtey
A full day at the festival — folk dances, mask performances, and crane-spotting with local conservation guides.
Overnight in Gangtey
Visit Gangtey Monastery overlooking the valley, then drive back towards Paro via Wangdue.
Overnight in Paro
Morning at leisure, airport transfer.
